Scholarship History
Since 1984 the Fund has awarded 120 scholarships, ranging between
$500 to $2,000, and totaling more than $150,000.
The Fund selects colleges and universities offering degrees in
Communication Arts including film and television, creative, writing,
advertising, public relations, and communication design. Those departments
then select deserving and needy students to receive the fund's grants.
In recent years, scholarships have been awarded at City College
of New York; State University of New York, Purchase College; and
St. John's University.
In 2002, the Board of Trustees awarded special scholarships to
children of police and firefighters who died on September 11, 2001
in the World Trade Center attack.
